Abd Al Kader Said was born in Alexandria, Egypt on June 11, 1989. He grew up speaking Arabic and English and has now added Dutch to his linguistic skills. Following his primary education in the Middle East, he enrolled in the Middle Years Program in Eindhoven, Holland, where he is currently studying to complete his degree. Abd Al Kader Said began to ride horses in Alexandria when he was three, He competed regionally throughout his life, but upon recognising his talent and dedication to jumping his father decided to send him to train in Holland in 2000, with Emile Hendrix. Since Abd Al Kader has been training with Emile Hendrix, he has won the Dutch Championships twice, first in the zz category, and then in the z category. He has also won two junior international grand prix, the first in Wierdan, Holland riding Lieke, and the second in Barbizon, France riding Wright or Wrong, a horse formerly belonging to HRH Princess Haya. Abd Al Kader enjoys other sports, especially snowboarding and football. His dream is to compete for Egypt in show jumping at the Olympic Games.
